Pete MatthewmanWednesday nights 8pm to 9pm
My name is Pete Matthewman and I hail from Brookfield a smallish country town about 50km west of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.
I have been the Founder/Host of My Country Australia for the past 5
My love of country music started about 10 years ago, when I was introduced to Rascal Flatts and ever since that day I have been hooked.
When I started MCA it was predominately-American country music that I played but for first 4-5 months I have found that Australia has some of the best country music artists going around today and they now take up most of the show.
Australian country music has come a long way in the recent past and I can proudly say we have the best artist’s and music in the world.
In my private life, I am married with 2 kids and 3 grandkids, I work fulltime for a logistics company and am involved with sporting clubs in my local area.
I look forward to bringing you all the latest and greatest Aussie country music.

Jeff Hyman "Somewhere in time "
Jeff Hyman Bio
Jeff is a multi-Grammy balloted singer who recently moved to LA from New York. Since arriving he has drawn considerable notice for his talents and is enjoying making new music at this stage of his life.
In 1962 Jeff formed The Gaslight Singers with some fellow folk music lovers that he met in college. This turned out to be an amazing experience for Jeff, Earl Mann, Martha Velez and Alan Alcabes. The Gaslight Singers shared the stage with icons such as Bob Dylan, The Chad Mitchell Trio, Tom Paxton, Glenn Yarbrough, Judy Collins, and so many more iconic artists. Their friends included Mama Cass and John Denver.
In 1964 The Beatles took over the music scene in the US and knocked folk music right out of the box. It was over. It was not until 2009 that Jeff took his guitar out of the closet and began to play again. The occasion was the reunion of The Gaslight Singers, two of whom he had not seen in 45 years.
The reunion was held over a long weekend that August in Toronto, Canada, and was intended to renew treasured relationships and see if the group still had the sound and the vibrancy that carried it to the top of the folk music industry back in the 60’s. In 2012 Jeff decided to become a solo artist due to the difficulty of getting the group together. He struck out on his own to develop his own individual style, with an appetite for more current genres. He performed, and began recording songs for what has become his first solo CD, “Old Dogs New Tricks”. The album, and the track “Let The Mystery Be” were both in contention for a 2018 Grammy.
Jeff Hyman Bio
As a solo artist, Jeff likes to concentrate on making music that is unique to his voice and style. He puts a lot of care into his song choices and tries to do material that he thinks folks will like.
Much of his work, and his history, both video and audio, can be found on his website, www.jeffhymanmusic.com.
Old Dogs New Tricks, has been a considerable success for Jeff. It is available on all major internet music outlets including Amazon, Itunes, and CD Baby. It streams on Pandora, Spotify and Shazam.
Jeff next album, “Pick Yourself Up” was released in July 2019. It includes duets with some amazing Indie singers as well as many of the iconic songs that his fans, and audiences, always love.
