Dear Listeners, Sponsors, Indie artists, Presenters It's OUR1st birthday! One year ago today MKB Independent Radio was in the early stage of broadcasting. I would like to personally thank listeners who made donations I was able to get up and running with a website, a stream, and four DJs.
One year Later we have 24 presenters, 30 sponsors and a very busy schedule.and best of all we have had a total of 43.000 visitors to our site I would like to thank all presenters for giving their time to provide top-class programs for the station, A special word of thanks to Bernard who has become the voice of the station and has made our video promos /jingles, supported DJs getting them set up to broadcast live with us and supporting technical issues that come up from time to time. I cannot fault any Presenters and have been very blessed with a really nice team of people.
The pandemic has been a difficult situation for so many people especially musicians and made me feel The Radio station was needed more than ever. I am pleased with the variety of shows and I have tried to keep a balance. The main Genre is Country of all types and folk music whilst holding a Celtic Identity and covering Contemporary &Trad Scottish and Irish music. We also diversify into Rock and Roll and sixties music we even have big bands and Crooners show.
Help us to remain on-air another year
Our licenses are due for renewal and I would really appreciate the listeners' help in donations to cover the cost of that. The station is "Not for profit" donations cover our overheads so if a lot donate something no matter how little it keeps us afloat in total the licenses are £450 that is The PRS and PPL. Artists are also invited to sponsor a show, we offer reasonable advertising both on-air and on our website. So let us be a vehicle for the promotion of your music and support us so we can support you.
